It all began way back when I was a toddler and my mother bought my sister a jumping horse ...something about that toy drew me and I couldn't get enough of it. Apparently, I spent more time with this marvelous toy then my sister ...
My love for horses grew as I did...and before long...I had helped convince my mother and father to buy us a pony. Our first pony was a beautiful palomino half Welsh pony named Danny Boy. This pony was inspiringly beautiful and so.. around the same time...I began to want to draw. As soon as I could hold a crayon, I was creating my horsey dreams on paper.
That was about 45 years ago and I haven't stopped drawing since then. I've added to my talents painting and carving as well as modeling horses in clay.
Although horses were my first love and all I desired to draw in the beginning, I also had an urge to paint scenery and to draw and paint portraits of people. I am still drawn to those subjects, although horses are my preference and what you see most often in my pieces.
